The Foundation generates both scientific and industrial results.
Research results obtained by FBK are disseminated through national and international publication systems. Many of these are made openly accessible in order to facilitate knowledge sharing. You can easily find them at Research Results and and the Books and new media.
Many innovations that impact our everyday life have passed through the FBK laboratories, some of which are also present in our spin-offs.

30 June 2026The new facilities of the Center for Sustainable Energy —approximately 20,000 square meters—are being built with support from the European IPCEI Hy2Tech and EuBatIn programs, together with provincial funding, for a total investment of about €50 million. -

03 March 2026There will be 13,000 innovative ultra-fast silicon detectors, developed and produced by FBK, installed at the heart of the CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) experiment at CERN in Geneva. The project, launched with INFN Turin, will help study and measure particle physics phenomena with greater precision. -
27 February 2026The initiative, created by FBK, is dedicated to sustainable mobility in schools. In Ferrara, the national event featuring “educAttore” Michele Dotti involved students from across Italy. Trentino is also part of the project. -
10 November 2025Fondazione Bruno Kessler remains among the most influential Italian research institutions at the international level in the ranking prepared by Stanford University and published by Elsevier. The ranking, based on Scopus data and considered a global reference, identifies the top 2% of the most cited researchers each year by disciplinary area. Francesca Bovolo (FBK) is one of them: in the interview, she recounts her work, reflecting on her most significant experiences. -
06 November 2025November 6 the initiatives for the digital transition of the region carried out under the Flagship Project were presented — 20 million euros from the PNC for four areas of intervention. In Trentino, another 1,254 projects from the PNRR amount to 40 million euros. -
