Results
The Foundation generates both scientific and industrial results.
Research results obtained by FBK are disseminated through national and international publication systems. Many of these are made openly accessible in order to facilitate knowledge sharing. You can easily find them at Research Results and and the Books and new media.
Many innovations that impact our everyday life have passed through the FBK laboratories, some of which are also present in our spin-offs.

The report is dedicated to the costs and potential of green hydrogen and was prepared in collaboration with Fondazione Bruno Kessler and Enel Foundation. -

20 January 2022The document "Shaping the AI Transformation: The Agency of Religious and Belief Actors" addresses the issue of the increasingly relevant and massive advent and spread of AI in society, offering 10 recommendations for shaping this new tool and making sure that its use is fair and respectful of the diversity of individuals. -
21 October 2021The study "Top-down convergence of near-infrared photonics with silicon substrate-integrated electronics", published in "Optica" (October 2021) and funded by the joint laboratory Quantum @ Trento, is the result of FBK's proven experience in the production of photonic devices and integrated silicon detectors. -
21 September 2021Ghost imaging exploits the quantum correlation between two photons to transfer the information collected from one photon to another. At the Quantum @ Trento laboratory we are working to move from theory to practice and use this technique to build high-precision, low-cost and small-sized instruments for environmental applications (for example for air quality control) and medical (such as in-vivo analysis of biological tissues for diagnostic microscopy, e.g. for the detection of tumor cells). -
