Revelations of longstanding medical conditions have been defined by Danielle Spencer with the term "metagnosis". These experiences create the opportunity to newly examine the relationship between illness/impairment, experiences of embodiment/dis-embodiment, and its relationship to personal identity.

Maitreya is the Future Buddha in Buddhism while the God of Wealth is a folk deity. Nowadays, the symbol of Maitreya has been mixed with the God of Wealth to form a new deity in Vietnam: Maitreya - God of Wealth (MGW).
