Daniele Checchi appointed as FBK-IRVAPP’s new director

31 January 2020

The meeting of Fondazione Bruno Kessler's Board of Directors that unanimously approved the appointment as director of the Institute for Evaluative Research on Public Policies for the next 3 years was held today

Daniele Checchi, born in Rubiera (RE) in 1958, has a degree in Economic and Social Disciplines from Bocconi University, holds a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Economics from the University of Siena. What convinced the committee was, in addition to the motivations of the candidate, his wide experience in the research field, both in Italy and abroad, and the important institutional positions he has held over the years: “The Committee believes that Professor Checchi – the official notice reads – has an excellent scientific profile with solid experience in the field concerned. His presentation was clear, concise and aligned with FBK’s strategic goals. He shows knowledge of the context and combines scientific vision and strategy. The committee believes that his proposal is in line with the FBK context and can coherently blend in with IRVAPP’s scientific and methodological approach“.

Thus, a new stage starts for the Institute for Evaluative Research on Public Policies (FBK-IRVAPP), a research center of Fondazione Bruno Kessler’s specialized in the analysis, conducted following a counterfactual perspective, of the effects of measures taken by the Public Administration, in order to change the living conditions or behaviors of some individuals (organizations, groups or people) within the various areas of society.
