Scienza e decisioni | Science and decisions

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has brought science, politics and society closer together than ever before. A discussion with Stefano Merler and Alessandro Vespignani.

Aula Grande, FBK Sede

FBK-Trento

One of the most divisive issues that emerged was undoubtedly the relationship between science and policy decision-making aimed at mitigating the spread of the epidemic, especially in light of the social and health impacts of choices made or failure to make them. A relationship that proved even more complicated given the severity, size and complexity of an entirely unprecedented scenario.

For the first time together, two of the world’s leading experts on epidemiological models will address the topic: Stefano Merler, Director of Bruno Kessler Foundation’s Center for Health Emergencies, and Alessandro Vespignani, Professor of Physics at Northeastern University and founding director of the Northeastern Network Science Institute in Boston.

Corriere della Sera data room reporter Simona Ravizza will moderate the event.

Free event, registration for onsite participation required.
