We support the most promising ideas developed by our research staff, investing in talent development and technology maturation plans that benefit from strong relationships with market players.
HOW WE SUPPORT OUR SPIN-OFFS
The Foundation promotes the Proof of Concept by FBK program, which identifies the most promising ideas from our research staff and provides the tools needed to bring them to market through spin-offs:
A 6-month program to validate both technology and market potential
Financial support of up to 80,000 euros
Customized training and coaching
In 2025, the first edition of the “PoC by FBK: Test your Idea!” program involved 120 participants across 37 teams. Nine teams were selected and awarded financial support and a dedicated program to focus on technological solutions, problem-solving, and value proposition.
The selected ideas address a range of topics including health, society, industry, sustainable energy, new materials, sensor applications, and innovative devices. More information here.
