Through the Pioneers in Research Summer School, FBK offers a prestigious program designed to immerse students in the Foundation’s research environment.
Our mission is to nurture the next generation of researchers by offering an intensive learning environment that combines theory with practical application. Participants benefit from a hands-on approach, working in state-of-the-art facilities and collaborating with peers and mentors.
This transformative experience not only improves technical skills, but also promotes critical thinking and innovation.

‘150 Hours’ Partnerships
These are aimed at students who are currently enrolled on a university degree programme. Curricular placements can be arranged subject to an agreement and a training programme drawn up by the host organisation and agreed with the Bruno Kessler Foundation. The duration must be agreed between the company tutor and the student based on the number of hours required to obtain the credits specified in their study plan (if in doubt, please contact your department’s administrative office).
These opportunities are aimed at students who are currently enrolled on a university degree programme, have already earned the credits required to undertake the curricular placement, and are in the process of preparing their dissertation. Dissertation placements may be arranged upon submission of the specific documentation required by the student’s relevant university department, drawn up by the sponsoring organisation and agreed with the Bruno Kessler Foundation.
These opportunities are open to students who are duly enrolled at the University of Trento and have been previously included in the annual ranking for “specialist roles”, “administrative roles” or “IT roles” as part of the recruitment processes for these positions. Collaborations may be initiated subject to an existing agreement with the University of Trento, a description of the activities to be carried out, a declaration of “partnership” from each Department/Centre involved in the initiative, and a selection of candidates nominated by the University. The duration of the collaborations ranges from a minimum of 150 to a maximum of 400 hours. The hourly rate is determined according to the type of collaboration envisaged and may range from a minimum of €6 to a maximum of €9 per hour.
