FBK-ISR | New spaces for spirituality and religious practice – Round Table

    As part of ISR "Religion and Innovation" programme, a Round Table on the theme of new concepts of the sacred place is proposed as the third open meeting for citizens and, in particular, on the case of 'multi-faith rooms', increasingly present, also in Italy, in public spaces and secular institutions

    Through the comparison with the referees of the main projects of ‘meditation rooms’, ‘silence’ or ‘prayer rooms’, recently realized in hospitals and university campuses in Italy, the Round Table intends to explore meanings, processes and practices related to the imagination, production and use of these places, which represent a possible response to the challenges posed by religious diversity and the coexistence of the religious and secular in our societies.

    The meeting is part of the third appointment of the series of thematic workshops of ISR for 2018, Religion and Innovation, dedicated to the theme of New spaces and architectures of the sacred.
