Co-funded projects

Co-funded projects

FBK was a winner in no less than 3 (i.e., AgrifoodTEF of which FBK is also coordinator, AI-MATTERS, and TEF-Health) of the 4 TEFs funded through a 2022 call of the European Digital Europe program, positioning itself as a key player in the validation and market transfer of highly innovative solutions in the field of Artificial Intelligence at the European level. Within the framework of the 3 projects co-funded by the European Commission and MIMIT through NRP PNRR resources, FBK, in particular through its Center for Digital Industry for the AgrifoodTEF and AI-MATTERS projects, and its Center for Digital Health and Wellbeing for the TEF-Health project, offers testing and validation services of AI and robotics solutions to interested companies.

In addition, FBK participates in three projects that have been awarded the coveted Seal of excellence (SoE) in participation in the European Digital Innovation Hubs’ Digital Europe program. The three SoE projects in which FBK participates, including one as coordinator (DIPS) and the others as partners (InnovAction, HD-Motion), are funded by the European Union under the Next Generation EU initiative.

TEFs:

AgrifoodTEF

FBK, and specifically its Center for Digital Industry, is coordinator of the European project AgrifoodTEF, which is organized in several nodes distributed among different European countries (i.e., Italy, Austria, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Poland) with the aim of providing a network of large-scale testing and experimentation facilities to offer testing and experimentation services for AI and robotics solutions in the field of agrifoodtech. FBK is also coordinator of the Italian node, which is made up of national organizations of excellence such as the University of Naples Federico II – coordinator of the National Agritech Center – the Polytechnic University of Milan and the University of Milan, the Edmund Mach Foundation, a center of excellence in agronomic research and innovation, and Trust-IT, a company specializing in digital marketing, which is in charge of project communication and dissemination.  Specifically, the services offered by FBK’s Center for Digital Industry as part of the AgrifoodTEF project can be found in the dedicated catalog.
