CODE HOUR. Programming for dummies
All students in all schools should have the chance to learn how to program.
With Code Hour they can do it in a fun way, by creating animations and solving simple problems. The initiative, started in the US, allows adults and children with no previous experience to approach programming concepts (sequence, iteration, selection...). Besides fostering interest for one of the most requested professions in the years to come, the workshop proposes a fascinating and rigorous method of reasoning.
Max participation: 2 classes.

CIBOPOLI. Choose the right dish
About one-third of greenhouse gas emissions are due to activities related to cultivating,
rearing, fishing and hunting for the food we eat. Our food habits and food wastage are not just important for our health, but also for the health of the world we live in. The woekshop offers a number of topics in connection with wastage and nutrition and link them to the impact they have on the environment. Also, through a "food monopoly", children have the chance to pratice what they learned by putting together a healthy diet, donating extra food and contributing to reduce our "footprint" on the planet.
Max participants: 1 class.
Two of the workshops of the special Schools Program (for kids aged 6 to 11) have been set up by Fondazione Bruno Kessler’s ICT4G Research Unit.
