FORENSOR is participating in SRE 2018

The low-power camera prototype developed by FBK as part of the H2020 FORENSOR project will be presented at the "Security Research Event 2018" conference co-organized by the European Commission and the Austrian Ministry of Transportation, Innovation and Technology

Brussels Meeting Centre

Brussels

The prototype will be presented at the “Fight Against Crime & Terrorism” Exhibition. FORENSOR is contributing with two main innovations:

  • a CMOS imaging sensor with embedded intelligence (the Vision chip) to filter out irrelevant events (i.e. repeated motion) and detect only moving objects of interest, such as vehicles;
  • an intelligent vision sensor, based on the vision chip, which supports advanced algorithms, communications, etc. that can identify higher level interest events.

In other words, FORENSOR can operate most of the time in a low power sus state and be woken up by the vision chip for further processing only when a significant object has been detected.
