FBK Health | Reforming Medical Deontology
An unprecedented and courageous proposal to reform ethics to turn the page and field a new idea of physicians with the aim to providing a response to least four major questions:
- The trust crisis that is seriously compromising the relationship between medicine and society, between doctor, person, citizen, patient
- The despotic hegemony of the financial constraints that, to the detriment of the rights of people, is deeply distorting the medical profession
- An idea of scientific medicine that struggles to update itself and grasp the challenges of complexity that arise when, from the disease, it turns to the patient
- Professional practices still inadequate in their ways of operating to respond coherently to the many challenges of the time
The solutions that are needed do not pass either against the doctor or against the citizen but through them, reunited, in a renewed social agreement between rights and duties.
Information and registration
Admission is free of charge and open to the public. The event provides ECM credits for surgeon-physicians (all disciplines) and odontologists.
