Euregio Young Researchers Award 2022

Registrations are open! Young researchers from the Euregio Tirol-Alto Adige-Trentino region are invited to present their research work at the eleventh edition of the project.

On the occasion of the “Giornate del Tirolo”, which this year will be dedicated to the theme “Health and regionality in the Euregio”, young researchers under 35 (born after 19/08/1987) will have the opportunity to present their research projects in front of a high-level jury and to discuss directly on the topic with renowned scientists and political leaders.

Development
– First phase: Delivery of an in-depth summary in English of a paper (max. 20,000 characters, spaces included and / or 10 pages including graphics) with respective curriculum vitae by May 15, 2022 at 12:00.
– Second phase: The jury, made up of expert specialists, will evaluate the applications by 15 June 2022 and will invite two young researchers by category to the third phase.
– Third phase: Presentation and discussion of the scientific project within the working group of young researchers of the “Giornate del Tirolo”, on the occasion of the Alpbach European Forum, which will be held on Saturday 20 August 2022 from 08.30 to 13.00: 00 (in English). The finalists will be reimbursed for the travel expenses to Alpbach as well as for the stay on site (maximum two nights).

Award ceremony: Awarding of the winner / winner at the main event during the Tyrol Day on Sunday 21 August 2022, from 10:00 to 13:00.

Assessment
The jury will evaluate the projects during the third phase, considering the written paper (50% of the final grade, including a compensation bonus of 2.5 points for PhD students or a reduction in compensation of 2.5 points for those who have completed their PhD thesis for at least three years) as well as the intervention and discussion in the working group of young researchers (50% of the final grade).
