CSSR opening ceremony of 2016-2017 academic year

Theology of religions and interreligious dialogue have marked an extraordinary parabola in the late twentieth century. They have allowed the authorities of communities of faith the task of walking side by side for the first mile, often made of genuine brotherhood and exchanges of kindness and good intentions. That did not affect the historical and theological impoverishment that afflicts many religious families. This first mile was achieved with difficulty, then it proceeded more naturally: and is rode every time bearing smaller fruits and an increasingly modest grip on the walkway leading from pious observance to nihilism and that makes many young people, especially Muslims at this time, addicts of the religious pornography that passes through the social media. Jesus (Mt 5,41) said “And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles”: what is then the second mile of dialogue between religions and peace among cultures?
