The Secretary-General oversees the unitary approach of the guidelines and objectives set out by the Board of Directors and is accountable for their overall implementation.
The Secretary-General assures the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and efficacy of the resources employed in the activities carried out by the Foundation.
He coordinates both the FBK Research Centres and the whole administration department.

Head of the “Integrated Optical Sensors” (SOI) Group, of the Istituto Trentino di Cultura (ITC). The SOI group developed electro-optical sensors on silicon for 2D and 3D measurements and imaging, as well as advanced imagers.
Head of the Microsystems Division (MIS), of the Istituto Trentino di Cultura (ITC). MIS was involved both in basic research and in R&D activities, in general on sensors and in particular on integrated Microsystems.
Researcher at the Istituto Trentino di Cultura engaged with the design and development of electro-optical sensors integrated on silicon, smart digital cameras, and digital sensors for specific applications.
In this period he has authored/co-authored more than 100 scientific publications in top journals and proceedings of international conferences.
He has collaborated as a reviewer with the major scientific publishers concerned with sensors and microelectronics and has been a member of the technical committees of some prestigious international Conferences.
He has been a co-inventor of 6 international patents, in the field of devices for high-resolution 3D measuring systems and in the field of integrated CMOS digital cameras.
