The provincial law which created Fondazione Bruno Kessler cites “promotion, growth, spread of research and innovation” as the principle aims of research.
The office of Technological Transfer and Economic Development of Research Results pursues the  strategic interests of the Foundation by:

• Maintaining contacts and keeping the strategies of the Foundation aligned with those of the province
• Identifying ideas and research that are sufficiently mature to be taken to market
• Creating new enterprises such as start-up companies and spin-offs, or internal incubators with commercial potential
• Capitalizing on internal research through patents and licenses of national, European and international scope.
• Facilitating communication between entrepreneurs and researchers to create opportunities for reciprocal exchange and collaboration.
• Organizing activities such as exhibitions, fairs, and workshops to promote the technologies and the image of the Foundation.
