Professor Massimo Egidi

Massimo Egidi was born (December 1st, 1942) in Gassino Torinese (Turin) Italy. He is Professor of Economics at Luiss University in Rome and Rector of the University. With Axel Leijonhuvfud is co-director of CEEL, the Laboratory of Computable and Experimental Economics (University of Trento). His main research interests are related to the study of boundedly rational behaviors in organizations and institutions. In particular, along the last ten years, most of his papers are related to the question of biases in decision making and in problem solving.

1987 -2004 Professor of Economics at University of Trento.
1989-1995 Chairman of the Department of Economics.
1996-2004 Rector of the University of Trento.
From 2000 Member of Administrative Board of European University Foundation.
2002-2004 Member of Board of CRUI (Conferenza Rettori Università Italiane) and member of EUA (European University Association).
From 2005 Professor of Economics at Luiss University. Rector of the University.
From December 20th, 2010 President of the Bruno Kessler Foundation, interdisciplinary research organization that collected the legacy of the Istituto Trentino di Cultura.
