(v.l.) A school dedicated to
micro and nano biotechnologies for the study of new materials and devices applicable to medicine, especially to cancer fighting therapies.
From Monday 11th to Friday 15th of January, in Vipiteno, young researchers from Italian and European research centres and universities will participate in the second edition of the
Anis (Alp Nano Bio International School) school organized by Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) and by
Latemar, the “Laboratory of national excellence in Miniaturized Electro-Biochemical Technologies for Analysis and for Research” of which FBK is also a member.
The event will begin at
2 p.m. of Monday, January 11th, at the
Municipal Hall “Vigil Raber” in Vipiteno, with the presentations by
Mariano Anderle of the Innovation, Research and ICT Department of the
Autonomous Province of Trento and by
Cecilia Pederzolli of
Fondazione Bruno Kessler.
These will be followed by the papers presented by Paolo Gasparini (University of Trieste/IRCCS Burlo Garofolo), Alessandro Quattrone (University of Trento), Marco Colombatti (University of Verona) and Gian Paolo Tonini (Italian Cancer Research Institute).
These interdisciplinary papers, presented by some of the world’s greatest experts up until Friday, offer an up-to-date review of the contributions made by micro and nanotechnologies to the important medical sector of cancer diagnosis and therapy.
The final day of lessons, featuring the papers by physicians operating in the hospitals of Trento and Bolzano, shall be dedicated to the value that these cutting edge technologies can provide clinical practice with. Researchers from private firms will illustrate the latest industrial applications in this sector.
As with last year’s edition, also held in January in Vipiteno, the official language of the international school Anis2 will be English. This year’s event was organized by FBK together with the Autonomous Province of Trento, the CIBIO centre of the University of Trento, CNR-IBF and AtreP.
