    Paolo Conci, researcher with the "MicroTechnologies Lab" (MTLab) at Fondazione Bruno Kessler’s Center for Materials and Microsystems (FBK-CMM), is one of the 18 scientists that, thanks to the first edition of FBK’sMobilityprogram, has spent a work/study period in Spain, at the IBM-CNM, the Instituto de Microelectrónica in Barcelona. 

     "Mobility", established by Trento-based Fondazione Bruno Kessler to foster the professional growth of researchers through international mobility opportunities, has recently assigned the new scholarships to the researchers that, next year, will be spending some months (from three to eleven) in national and international centers or organizations, tightening relationships with the scientific community and bringing to FBK new competences and knowledge.

    Belén Jiménez Fenández-Palacios, researcher at the 3D Optical Metrology (3DOM) Unit at our Center or Materials and Microsystems (FBK-CMM), is one of the scholars who spent a study period in France, at the "CNRS MAP-GAMSAU laboratory", the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, with the research group for the Application des Méthodes Scientifiques à l’Architecture et à l’Urbanisme, at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in Marseilles

    Through the "Mobility" program, established by Fondazione Bruno Kessler in Trento to foster the professional growth of researchers by means of international mobility experiences, Belén Jiménez Fenández-Palacios, a native of Spain, spent four months on the town on the seaside of the Mediterranean Sea in France, intensifying her relationships with the scientific community.

    With its researchers   Molinatti Cristina and Massimo Zancanaro and its technologist Maurizio Napilitano, also Fondazione Bruno Kessler will be among the key actors, on   November 23,   at   TEDxTrento, "Technology, Entertainment and Design." Brilliant minds, innovative projects, creative ideas and passion at the first edition of the local TEDx conference that involves a community of enthusiasts of the spirit of TED and that uses the TEDx instrument for the dissemination of ideas.

    The project BRICKER, co-funded by the EU, takes off this month for four years of efforts towards reducing energy consumption in public buildings by 50%. With an overall budget of almost €13 million, coordinator Acciona along with their partners will produce a scalable, replicable and cost effective methodology for refurbishing existing public-owned non-residential buildings.

    The "WBE 2013 - Behavioural Economics: Science, Philosophy, and Policy-Making" meeting opened today at FBK in Trento: Numerous talks from scholars from all over the world on behavioural economics, a discipline that uses results, models and methods from other sciences ─ psychology in particular, but also anthropology, sociology, biology and neurosciences - to obtain accurate results on the cognitive abilities of individuals and social interactions and to analyze the implications of these results on economic behaviors.

    An interdisciplinary conference aimed at evaluating the scientific basis, the philosophical prerequisites and the legislative applications of behavioural economics. 

    The meeting, organized in Trento by the researchers from the "Behavioral Economics" project at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, in cooperation with the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Trento for October 17 and 18 2013, will gather economists, psychologists, political scientists, philosophers and policy–makers involved in these topics.

    Following contacts made during recent months, a delegation of representatives from Fondazione Bruno Kessler (Alessandro Bozzoli, Head of the REET  Research Unit), of Trento-based Gruppo Heliopolis (CEO, Paolo Signoretti) and Mezzolombardo-based Rete d'impresa Crisalide (Michele Gubert) traveled to Beirut September 2-5 upon an invitation by “Assouad”, one of the biggest industrial groups in Lebanon.
