Airing Tuesday, February 7 2012 at 3:00 p.m. the sixth episode of "Not only research: applications for the quality of life", the daily program curated by RAI journalist Tiziana Raffaelli, broadcast on the frequencies of RAI Radio 2: Stefano Forti (Head of the E-health research unit) and Diego Conforti (PAT) will be speaking about "E-health: the Citizen's health records”.

What weight has the attention that newspapers reserve to history books? Today, no one can think that we are dealing with a reporting that lasts just for a morning. In fact, in a world dominated by the media and the need of presence in the public sphere, the choices that newspapers make have an impact not just on determining the success of a book or an author's reputation, but also on directing researchers towards certain issues, and even certain trends that seem most likely to be understood by the public.
To what extent are journalists "fabricating" the cultural pages of the newspapers aware of this? How accountable do they feel for the choices they make?
The Italian-Germanic History Institute of the Bruno Kessler Foundation has called on some editors covering this role in some major Italian newspapers, to discuss with the new generation of historians working at the Isig.
At the conclusion, a round table with the directors of newspapers operating in the Trentino region, with the awareness that they are the main intermediaries who literally "give their account" to the people on the work and the results achieved thanks to the investment that the Trentino region community has made on FBK-Isig.

Che peso ha l’attenzione che i giornali riservano ai libri di storia? Nessuno ormai può pensare che si tratti di segnalazioni che durano “lo spazio di un mattino”. In realtà, in un mondo dominato dai media e dalla domanda di presenza nella sfera pubblica, le scelte che i giornali fanno pesano non solo nel determinare il successo di un libro o la fama di un autore, ma anche nell'indirizzare i ricercatori verso certi temi, per non dire certe mode, che sembrano più adatti a farsi recepire dal pubblico.
Quanto sono consapevoli di questo i giornalisti che “fabbricano” le pagine culturali dei quotidiani? Quanto sentono la responsabilità delle scelte che fanno?
A rispondere a queste domande l'Istituto storico italo-germanico della Fondazione Bruno Kessler ha chiamato alcuni giornalisti che operano con questo ruolo nelle maggiori testate italiane, mettendoli a confronto con la nuova generazione di storici che lavora presso l’Isig.
A concludere una tavola rotonda coi direttori dei quotidiani che operano in Trentino, nella consapevolezza che le loro testate sono i principali tramiti che letteralmente “rendono conto” alla gente del lavoro e dei risultati che si raggiungono grazie all'investimento che la comunità trentina ha fatto su FBK-Isig.Fondazione Bruno Kessler

A discussion about:
MICROANALYSIS AND 3D MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES APPLIED TO CULTURAL HERITAGE SAFEGUARD

How can small crafts businesses also operating in the cultural heritage field make use of the results of research and its multiple developments? We will discuss this with researchers Massimo Bersani and Fabio Remondino, of the Bruno Kessler Foundation, who will illustrate the cultural field applications of two specific labs. The first one, the MinaLab develops surface analysis methodologies and tecniques for archeometrical investigations, aimed at the correct conservation and restoration of a find. The second one, the 3DOM studies measurement techniques for the creation of three-dimensional digital models that can be used, for example, in the conservation, documentation and digital restoration of cultural heritage items.

The event is organized by CEii Trentino with the support of the local Province Office for Industry, Crafts and Commerce and the collaboration of the Associazione Artigiani e Piccole Imprese (Craftmen and small businesses association) in Trento and is part of the new edition of the Circolo dell’Innovazione 2011 (2011 Innovation Society). Si parlerà di:
TECNICHE DI MICROANALISI E RILIEVO 3D APPLICATE AI BENI CULTURALI

Le piccole imprese dell’artigianato che operano anche nel campo dei beni culturali come possono sfruttare i risultati della ricerca, nei suoi molteplici sviluppi? Ne parleremo con i ricercatori Massimo Bersani e Fabio Remondino, della Fondazione Bruno Kessler, che illustreranno le applicazioni in ambito culturale di due specifici laboratori. Il primo MinaLab sviluppa metodologie e tecniche di analisi di superficie per indagini archeometriche, ai fini anche della corretta conservazione o del restauro di un reperto. Il secondo 3DOM studia le tecniche di rilievo per la creazioni di modelli digitali tridimensionali utili ad esempio per la conservazione, la documentazione e il restauro digitale di beni culturali.

L’incontro è organizzato da CEii Trentino con il supporto dell’Assessorato all’Industria, Artigianato e Commercio della Provincia autonoma di Trento e la collaborazione dell’Associazione Artigiani e Piccole Imprese di Trento e rientra nella nuova edizione del Circolo dell’Innovazione 2011.
