(m.l.) Seconda tappa internazionale della mostra "\;Etruschi in Europa"\;. Dopo il successo dell'inaugurazione di Bruxelles (oltre 25 mila visitatori in sei mesi) e la permanenza al Museo delle Scienze di Trento (9000 visitatori in quattro mesi\, su 11mila complessivi all'anno)\, l'esposizione\, organizzata dall'associazione Historia di Viterbo in collaborazione con l'Unità di ricerca 3DOM della Fondazione Bruno Kessler\, sbarca al Medelhavs Museet (Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities) di Stoccolma.
Dall'11 febbraio al 2 settembre 2012 sarà possibile viaggiare tra le stanze allestite nei 200 metri quadri del museo della capitale svedese alla scoperta del popolo etrusco vissuto in Italia tra l'IX ed il II secolo a.C. nelle regioni oggi corrispondenti alla Toscana e al Lazio.
Video\, animazioni e immagini 2D e 3D su schermi di grandi dimensioni raccontano il mondo degli Etruschi nelle sue varie componenti (le città\, le necropoli\, il banchetto\, la donna\, la guerra\, la scrittura\, la religione\, ecc.). I visitatori potranno anche visitare le tombe ipogee dipinte\, normalmente non accessibili al pubblico\, fotografate e modellate in 3D.
Un importante supporto a sostegno dell'iniziativa di Historia e della Fondazione Bruno Kessler è stato dato dalla Regione Toscana e Regione Umbria\, alle quali si è aggiunto quello del comune di Tarquinia (sito patrimonio dell'UNESCO)\, per la promozione dei territori etruschi nel corso dei sette mesi di permanenza della mostra a Stoccolma.

Rilievi e modellazioni 3D hanno permesso di realizzare una “fotocopia a colori” ad alta risoluzione dei reperti. Oltre ad avere una elevata verosimiglianza con l’originale\, la raccolta delle informazioni digitali relative alle superfici di pareti\, soffitti e pavimenti consente di preservare importanti siti Unesco\, di studiare specifiche politiche di restauro e conservazione\, e di realizzare una riproduzione esatta in qualsiasi luogo e tempo.

From February 11 until September 2 2012 visitors will be able to travel along the halls of the museum of the Swedish capital dedicated to the discovery of the Etruscans who lived in Italy between the ninth and the second centuries b.C. in the contemporary regions of Tuscany and Lazio.
Videos\, animations and 2D and 3D big screen images narrate the world of the Etruscans in its various components (the towns\, the cemeteries\, the banquet\, the woman\, war\, the writing\, religion\, etc). Visitors will also be able to visit the hypogeal tombs and their paintings\, which usually are not open to the public\, fotographed and 3D modeled.
Significant funding in support of this initiative by Historia and the Bruno Kessler Foundation came from the Tuscany Region Agency\, the Umbria Region Agency. with an additional contribution by the Town of Tarquinia (UNESCO Heritage site)\, for the promotion of the Etruscan land during the seven months in which the exhibit will stay in Stockholm.

What weight does the attention that newspapers reserve to history books have? Today\, no one can think that we are dealing with a reporting that lasts just for a morning. In fact\, in a world dominated by the media and the need of presence in the public sphere\, the choices that newspapers make have an impact not just on determining the success of a book or an author's reputation\, but also on directing researchers towards certain issues\, and even certain trends that seem most likely to be understood by the public.
To what extent are journalists "\;fabricating"\; the cultural pages of the newspapers aware of this? How accountable do they feel for the choices they make?
The Italian-Germanic History Institute of the Bruno Kessler Foundation has called on some editors covering this role in some major Italian newspapers\, to discuss with the new generation of historians working at the Isig.
At the conclusion\, a round table with the directors of newspapers operating in the Trentino region\, with the awareness that they are the main intermediaries who literally "\;give their account"\; to the people on the work and the results achieved thanks to the investment that the Trentino region community has made on FBK-Isig.

Che peso ha l’attenzione che i giornali riservano ai libri di storia?
Nessuno ormai può pensare che si tratti di segnalazioni che durano “lo
spazio di un mattino”. In realtà\, in un mondo dominato dai media e dalla
domanda di presenza nella sfera pubblica\, le scelte che i giornali
fanno pesano non solo nel determinare il successo di un libro o la fama
di un autore\, ma anche nell'indirizzare i ricercatori verso certi temi\,
per non dire certe mode\, che sembrano più adatti a farsi recepire dal
pubblico.
Quanto sono consapevoli di questo i giornalisti che “fabbricano” le
pagine culturali dei quotidiani? Quanto sentono la responsabilità delle
scelte che fanno?
A rispondere a queste domande l'Istituto storico italo-germanico della
Fondazione Bruno Kessler ha chiamato alcuni giornalisti che operano con
questo ruolo nelle maggiori testate italiane\, mettendoli a confronto con
la nuova generazione di storici che lavora presso l’Isig.
A concludere una tavola rotonda coi direttori dei quotidiani che operano
in Trentino\, nella consapevolezza che le loro testate sono i principali
tramiti che letteralmente “rendono conto” alla gente del lavoro e dei
risultati che si raggiungono grazie all'investimento che la comunità

C'è anche il ricercatore della FBK Cesare Furlanello tra i 50 scienziati\, imprenditori\, attivisti che\, secondo la lista stilata dal Daily Wired\, sta contribuendo a cambiare il mondo. For the first time the book fair is placing a foreign Country at the heart of its 2012 edition\: in fact\, a special program and display room will be dedicated to to the Italian book.
March 1 through 5 2012\, at the AET's (Associazione Editori Trentini) stand\, FBK will display some of its prestigious publications.

FBK Press\, curated by the Publishing Service\, was created with the goal of adding value to the results of the research activity conducted primarily by researchers from the Fondazione Bruno Kessler\, by disseminating them across national and international scientific communication circuits\, but also across local ones.
