Fondazione Bruno Kessler is the location for Anna Scalfi’s “Clean floor” project that identifies her action in language conversion, namely by proposing researchers to translate into an artistic gesture the basic idea of their scientific work through the documentation of the approach between the impulses of art and those of science. “In FBK’s conference hall is laid out the floor plan of a 70 m² dwelling, traced as it really is with its outside walls, furnishings and cooking area. La FBK a Bruxelles per la presentazione del consorzio “ESEIA” sull’energia sostenibile.(m.l.) E' iniziata oggi e proseguirà fino al 26 marzo prossimo a Bruxelles la settimana dell’energia sostenibile ‘Energy Week’ organizzata dalla Commissione Europea e che prevede numerose iniziative di informazione e approfondimento sul tema. Mercoledì 24 marzo sarà protagonista ESEIA (European Sustainable Energy Innovation Alliance) – l’alleanza europea sull’energia sostenibile, di cui anche la Fondazione Bruno Kessler fa parte, grazie alle numerose unità di ricerca che lavorano in questo campo. Il responsabile del Grant Office della FBK, Francesco Della Porta, parteciperà come moderatore dell’incontro sul tema “Dall’idea al mercato. Alcune esperienze regionali”, che si terrà nell’ambito del workshop dedicato alle “Regioni europee modello nell’ambito dell’energia sostenibile”. Among themselves the eseia members cover all relevant fields in sustainable energy from energy provision to energy consumption in research, teaching and innovation. eseia is active in several fields such as the management of sustainable energy innovation programmes, the organisation of expert panels, the design of entrepreneurial education programmes, the dialogue with the public, lobbying for sustainable energy solutions on various levels and foster international cooperation. eseia – eCANDO Regions Currently, the major undertaking of eseia is eseia - eCANDO Regions supported by TU Graz, FBK, TUHH and the University of Twente, and BRP Powertrain. eseia takes up the mission to be an active and reliable partner for European regions in their quest to implement sustainable energy systems. Eseia eCANDO Regions will provide the service of linking the knowledge generation community and business partners with regions in order to facilitate implementation of ground breaking systemic innovation by efficiently linking partners from universities, innovation institutions and business with regions. Our Mission By 2012 eseia intends to be active in 10 regions of Europe that will be acting as innovation labs in partnership with regional players, businesses, institutions and society. By 2015 eseia will have developed an innovative method to integrate the necessary knowledge development, education and information measures. FBK in Brussels for the presentation of the “ESEIA” consortium for sustainable energy. (m.l.) The European Commission has organized in Brussels, from today until March 26, 2010, an ‘Energy Week’ event regarding sustainable energy with a programme that includes various information and theme highlighting initiatives. Wednesday, March 24, is the day for the presentation of ESEIA (European Sustainable Energy Innovation Alliance) of which Fondazione Bruno Kessler is a member. The Head of the FBK Grant Office, Francesco Della Porta, will participate as chairman of the meeting on the theme “Dall’idea al mercato. Alcune esperienze regionali” (From the idea to the market. IRVAPP Seminar Series David Rose is Professor Emeritus of Sociology, Institute for Social and Economic Research, University of Essex. He was academic convener of both the European Socio-economic Classification project and the ESRC Review of Government Social Classifications which led to the development of the UK National Statistics-Socio-economic Classification. He has published widely on the topic of social class in the UK. He is an Academician of the Social Sciences. Eric Harrison is Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Comparative Social Surveys at City University London, working on the European Social Survey. He was the assistant convener of the ESeC project. His principal research interests lie in social stratification, social inequality and comparative research methodology.
